While staying relatively stagnate for a few months, I've finally added some more books to my book collection. Joining the "How to Draw" books are two art books and some fan art. The art books feature a wide variety of images taken from the series as it aired on TV, but also feature many "special" images such as production sketches and images drawn specifically for the art book. Unfortunately, the books are entirely in Japanese so I am unable to understand the literary elements of the books such as interviews with the cast and crew and so on. Hopefully one day I'll be able to read them.

The fan art is a poster titled "Otaku's Guide to Hiragana". As you can see from the image above (and its larger brother) the poster features a representation of each Hiragana character with a character from an anime series. I thought it was pretty funny, and picked it up for a mere 10 dollars. The poster was drawn by a talented anime fan and is an original work of art. You won't find it in any stores!
